Commenting on this initiative, the chamber’s deputy chief executive, Ian Morrow, said: “We’re extremely grateful to our good friends at Flybe for this very generous offer. We hope that chamber members will recommend other businesses to join. We have three pairs of return tickets to give away, so it’ll simply be a matter of the three members, who recommend the most businesses, which actually join the chamber, each receiving a pair of return flights.”

Flybe, the largest scheduled carrier at George Best Belfast City Airport began operating daily direct flights to Paris, Charles de Gaulle from 30 March 2008. With Flybe’s new direct service and a flight time of just over two hours, passengers can breakfast in Belfast and be in time for lunch on the Champs-Elysées! Daily flights from Monday to Saturday depart Belfast City at 0955 with a later departure time on Sunday at 1205. The return flight departs Paris at 1340 Monday to Saturday and 1545 on Sunday.
