Chamber Services
Representation, Lobbying and Economic Research
Membership of the chamber means that you are part of the largest business support organisation in Northern Ireland and lobbying and representation are important aspects of your membership. We gather the views of members and ensure that your opinions and demands are expressed at every opportunity to the press, to public sector partners, and in response to formal consultations as well as through active lobbying.
An important part of our activity is ensuring that the views of the business community are articulated to elected politicians. We have regular contact with MPs, MEPs, MLAs and government ministers. Our status as an independent, apolitical body is recognised and much of our credibility arises from the fact that policy development is driven by our members.
The chamber monitors the work of Government and its associated bodies, and maintains a watching brief on issues such as business taxation, business finance, employment and education. Through our surveys and economic research, members have the chance to present their case on topics that affect their businesses, such as legislation, interest rates or worrying new trends.
The voice of the business community, the chamber represents the views of its members at all government levels and exerts a steadily growing, direct influence on local commercial and economic issues. This is your opportunity to become part of a network, which is already assisting continued growth and prosperity, and promoting better business.
